Episode 1x10 "Peace? Off!" Part I
Guy was preoccupied. He had little to no idea what the Sheriff had been talking about. Something to do with birds.
He, on the other hand, had only eyes for Marian and thoughts for smoothing things between them. Of course, the Sheriff suggested buying her favour with trinkets...but Marian had never had the taste for such things and that was unlikely to change. Vasey joked that Guy was jealous of a horse, and though he denied it, in some ways it was true. She showed that creature far more affection than she had for him.
Maybe he had a point about her feeling provided for. As loathe as he was to admit it, that did sound like it made sense. She did not like trinkets or baubles, but surely a gift that was useful would be appreciated. In time, that appreciation might spread
And then there was their Saracen "guest". Guy didn't like the plan, or the idea of having the man in Nottingham castle, but who was he to question the plans of his superior who was sure of their success.
What could he give Marian though?
